Trendsetters! Glitter Nail Polish!

One of the biggest nail trends of the season is glitter nail polish! With the option to wear many different ways, it's very easy to create a unique look using glitter nail polish. Some different ways to wear are; the glitter polish alone, the glitter polish over a nail color, just one finger with glitter polish, or even a light coat of glitter over a french manicure.

KENRA platinum Dry Shampoo

I've recently fell in love with Kenra's Dry Shampoo.  I have dark hair, and it's very hard to find a dry shampoo that doesn't give your hair a gray tint.  I like to wash my hair every other day (which doesn't always work) but sometimes in between washes my hair gets a bit greasy.  With this dry shampoo, you just spray it through your dry hair and wait a few minutes before brushing it out.  It absorbs all excess oils from your hair, and eliminates the greasy-hair look. You could also use a little on your roots anytime just to help add some body to your hair.  I love this product, and would definately recommend it to anyone! It runs about $22 for a 5oz bottle, and can be found on http://www.kenra.com/

John Frieda Root Awakening Review

I've recently tried the John Frieda Root Awakening Shampoo & Conditioner for dry hair.  I really like this product & would recommend it to someone who has dry hair. The shampoo is very moisturizing, which is rare for a shampoo. The conditioner was very moisturizing as well and made my hair feel very soft. I really liked this product, although i won't be purchasing it - the Eucalyptus in both the shampoo & conditioner made it an enjoyable experience, because it cools your scalp & helps you feel very refreshed, butttt it iritates my neck when i use anything with Eucalyptus.  I did really like the product tho, and would definately recommend it to anyone that doesn't have extremely sensitive skin.

Customized Brushes!

Want to customize your brushes? Make them look like your own? Maybe you have trouble keeping them seperate from your sisters? Learn how to paint the tips of the brushes using nail polish.

I chose to use OPI's color Cajun Shrimp... It's a very pretty bright coral color.

1) Clean brushes.

2) Tape off a small section near the end of the brush, making sure its even all around.

3) Carefully paint the tip, and make sure to get the top of the brush. (It will take a few coats-I used 2 coats on the light brushes, and 3 or 4 on the black brushes)

4)Roll up a towel, and carefully place them on it, with the painted end hanging off the edge. (I set the towel on a box so it sat up higher)

5) Allow to set until completely dry, or overnight... then carefully peel off the tape. (Go slow, or some of the paint may peel off with it)

Now you have unique brushes, that fit your style. You could add a coat of glitter polish to your favorite brushes, or use different colors for face, eye, & other types of brushes.

ULTA haul!

I just got my ULTA package in the mail... so i'll share what i purchased, and what i think of the products i've used so far...

1) Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Anti-Stress Face Tonic Mask: "Real Dead Sea nutrients and minerals submerge tired, stressed out skin in moisture, leaving it smooth and re-hydrated, toned and visibly younger looking."  I have yet to use this product, but am super excited to try it!

2) ULTA EyeShadow in Naked: Light Brown, perfect for highlighting. Haven't tried yet.

3) ULTA EyeShadow in Toast: Warm brown color, perfect for all over lid, or as a crease color when going for a natural look.

4) Basis Sensitive Skin Bar: "Natural calming agents chamomile and aloe vera soothe and comfort skin... Leaves skin clean, calm and comfortable."  For daily use, haven't tried yet.

5) ULTA Extreme Wear Gel EyeLiner in Perfection: Dark Brown color, perfect for lining on lid or waterline. Used once & it seems to stay on okay.

6) NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk. White pencil is perfect for highlighting inner corners and under eyebrow, or also for waterline. This is the first time i've tried the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils, and i'm definately going to buy more! The colors are great, goes on really well (creamy & smooth) and stays on great! Highly Recommended!

7) NYX EyeShadow Base in Pearl: Use before applying eyeshadow.  Light color helps eyeshadow look more vivid, and also helps it stay on much longer. Tried this & definately like it.

8) Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra-Cleansing Mud Mask: "This super-cleansing detox mask cleanses impurites for a clearer, brighter complexion." Haven't tried it yet, but i can't wait to use it.

When placing an order online at ULTA, you get to choose 3 samples at checkout, although if they dont have the samples you request they will just send random ones (which happened to me)
The samples I got:
*Stila One Step Makeup
*StriVectin-SD Intensive Concentrate for Stretch Marks and Wrinkles
*Murad T-Zone Pore Refining Gel
